STARDUST IMPACT

Where stories become part
of societal change
Bringing societal change through connecting
lived experience, knowledge and perspectives.
About
Stardust Impact is a nongovernmental organisation bringing knowledge and experience into the wider conversation around societal change. There is no shortage of knowledge in the world. New ideas are emerging across science, culture, art, education and technology. Yet these different forms of knowledge and experience do not always meet. Important perspectives can remain isolated from one another, and what we know does not always become part of how society understands and responds to change. This is the gap we address.
We bring together people, ideas and perspectives from different fields and create ways for them to meet. Sometimes that means a story, sometimes a conversation, a film, an educational programme or a collaborative project. We are interested in the questions that emerge when different ways of seeing and knowing meet, and in what becomes possible when they do.
Storytelling and narrative are central to our work because stories carry knowledge, experience and perspective in ways that can be understood, shared and remembered. They can open a question, make an experience visible, or allow us
to see something familiar through someone else's eyes, giving us new ways
to understand, engage with and act on the issues around us.

Documentary films that connect research, society, and lived experience to offer perspectives that challenge the status quo when needed and build bridges between people, disciplines, and ideas.
We work with social impact-driven organisations to identify the relevance and impact of their work, and develop engagement formats that help advance their mission.
We develop collaborative projects across research, education, culture, and society through public engagement, storytelling, and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
